Volunteer
Volunteering is a rewarding experience that can increase your self-confidence and give you a sense of pride. As a volunteer at the REDI Centre, you will be giving back to the community and helping others.
We value all our volunteers and are always looking new recruits to help with all sorts of activities including:
Youth groups / Youth activities
We run several youth groups here at the REDI Centre for young people aged 8-19 and beyond for those with SEND. Volunteering* on these sessions is an enriching experience and you’ll be supported by qualified youth workers. You’ll also get to meet the great young minds of our future!
REDI Café – No Vacancies
The REDI Centre has its own café, currently serving hot/cold drinks and light refreshments. We are always looking for an extra pair of hands!
Gardening / groundkeeper – No Vacancies
The garden is currently being beautifully maintained by our trio of hardworking gardeners Chris, Jenny and David.
* ENHANCED DBS REQUIRED (cost covered by the REDI Centre)
Case Study
Texas Bishop, aged 27
“I started coming to the REDI at the age of 17 to attend the senior youth club, after hearing how good it was from people who attended the centre. After speaking to one of the volunteers I became interested in volunteering myself.
I started supporting the over 40s IT class that was running at the time. I then went on to help with various youth groups, including creating the “Good Times Club”, which is a club for people with different disabilities, after identifying the need for one in Redditch.
One of the things I get out of volunteering at the REDI, is knowing I can support vulnerable young people and give them a safe place to attend.”
